Krishna Shroff, daughter of Jackie Shroff and sister to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, is all set to take on a new challenge in Zee TV’s upcoming reality show Choriyaan Chali Gaon. The show is inspired by the Marathi hit Chala Baai Gavat and brings together 12 women who will spend over two months in a rural village. They will live the simple life, take part in traditional tasks, and face the realities of village living.

Krishna, who was last seen on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, revealed that this project stirred a different kind of excitement at home. Her father Jackie Shroff, known for his love for earthy and desi things, was thrilled by her choice. She said he was more excited about this than any other work she has taken on so far. She believes it’s because the show’s theme speaks to who he is.

Tiger Shroff had a different reaction. He asked if she was certain she wanted to do this. He knows how dedicated she is and how she gives everything to her commitments. Their mother was nervous too, not because of the show or what it demands, but simply because of the distance. Krishna shared how close they are, calling her mom her best friend, and expressed that being away for two and a half months would be a new experience for both.

It has been a year since Krishna appeared on Khatron Ke Khiladi, and she explained that she took her time choosing her next move. She wanted to be sure. For her, it was important to pick something that fit her brand and values. She said Khatron Ke Khiladi brought out unexpected layers of her personality. This new show, too, seems to be part of her plan to show her true self to a wider audience.

Krishna made a point about how reality TV today often pushes people to play a role rather than be authentic. She said many contestants come with planned strategies and fake personalities, which, in her view, takes away from what reality shows are meant to be. She said, “For me, reality is reality.” Her choice to wait and carefully pick a show speaks to her desire to stay true to herself and connect with viewers in a real way.

Despite her growing presence on television, Krishna sees herself as more than just a media personality. She and Tiger co-founded MMA Matrix Gym, which has now expanded to 20 franchises across India. The siblings are deeply committed to promoting fitness. Tiger has also started a dance academy. Krishna said, “Just spreading the message of fitness and propagating a healthy lifestyle for the youth is what drives me.”

Her journey on Choriyaan Chali Gaon promises to show a different side of her once again. Away from glitz and glamour, she’ll be navigating life in a village with a group of women who each come with their own stories. With her father’s proud support, her brother’s protective concern, and her mother’s emotional backing, Krishna is all set to embark on this new journey. She’s ready to leave behind comfort, live among strangers, and prove once again that there’s much more to her than what meets the eye.
