Despite living away from Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, Hasin Jahan remains a constant presence on social media. Almost every photo or video she shares quickly goes viral.
This time, Hasin Jahan is in the spotlight after sharing pictures from the Jagannath Temple, where she was seen taking blessings from temple sevayats (priests). Her daughter was also present in the images.
Photos With Temple Sevayats Spark Online Debate
In the viral pictures, Hasin Jahan and her daughter can be seen sitting on the ground while receiving blessings from two saints associated with the Jagannath Temple. The images were shared with a detailed caption explaining the religious significance of the sevayat.
She wrote:
“From Jagannath Temple, Puri — Jagannath Kumar Daitapotti Mahaprabhu is the only sevayat who replaces Lord Jagannath’s Brahma (heart) during the Nabakalebara ritual.”
Soon after the post went live, it began circulating rapidly across social media platforms.
Trolling Over Religious Identity
Following the viral spread of the images, Hasin Jahan faced intense trolling, particularly from users questioning her religious choices. Some comments suggested that she was preparing for “ghar wapsi,” while others accused her of abandoning her faith.
Some reactions included:
- “Astaghfirullah.”
- “Is she ready for ghar wapsi?”
- “Has she converted to Hinduism?”
- “May Allah guide her.”
At the same time, several users defended her, stating that visiting a place of worship should not invite hate or judgment.
No Reaction From Hasin Jahan So Far
Despite the online backlash, Hasin Jahan has not issued any response to the criticism. This is not the first time she has been trolled for visiting temples — similar reactions have followed her earlier religious visits as well.
After her separation from Mohammed Shami, Hasin Jahan lives independently with her daughter. As per reports, Shami provides monthly financial support.
Personal Faith vs Public Scrutiny
The incident once again highlights how public figures — especially women — face scrutiny for personal religious or lifestyle choices. Hasin Jahan’s temple visit, which appeared to be a personal and spiritual moment, turned into a topic of controversy online.
Faith is personal, but on social media, it often becomes public property.
