Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh has announced his sudden departure from Ashneer Grover’s reality show Rise and Fall after just two weeks, leaving fellow contestants and fans deeply emotional.
In a recently released promo, Singh shared heartfelt parting words with his co-contestants on stage. “I am leaving this show to fulfil some service commitments. But I will always be with all of you. Play this game with a pure heart, play it with a smile, and make others smile too,” he said.
Singh’s exit left co-stars Dhanashree Verma and Akriti Negi visibly moved, shedding tears during emotional hugs. Attempting to lift spirits, Singh added, “I am not leaving forever. Whenever I am fondly remembered, whether from a penthouse or a basement, I will try to take two days off from my work and come and meet all of you.”
Reports suggest Singh’s decision is tied to family obligations and a service activity requiring his presence. Over the weekend, his mother reportedly arrived to pick him up from the show.
Fans took to social media to express their disappointment. One wrote, “The last episode will air tomorrow, and then I’ll delete the MX Player app.” Another commented, “Now, who will we root for in Rise and Fall? I had started connecting with this reality show for the first time. It’s really upsetting. This decision will affect the show negatively.”
Rise and Fall, streaming on Prime Video and MX Player, features contestants including Kiku Sharda, Arjun Bijlani, Ahana Kumra, Kubra Sait, Dhanashree Verma, and Anaya Bangar, alongside Pawan Singh. His departure marks a significant emotional moment in the series’ ongoing journey.
