Abhishek Malhan On Rahul Vaidya And Virat Kohli Controversy

Abhishek Malhan, known to many as Fukra Insaan and a finalist from Bigg Boss OTT 2, has stepped into the latest celebrity spat grabbing attention online. The YouTuber didn’t hold back while sharing his take on the unexpected clash between singer Rahul Vaidya and cricketer Virat Kohli.

The controversy sparked after a brief incident on Instagram. On April 30, 2025, Virat Kohli reportedly liked and then unliked a photo posted by actress Avneet Kaur. Later Virar Kohli clarified the like was due to an Instagram algorithm glitch. What could have been dismissed as a minor social media slip turned into fuel for gossip. Rahul Vaidya, known for his singing and past stint in Bigg Boss 14, posted a playful video hinting that Virat might have blocked him on Instagram, possibly due to an algorithm glitch. In the clip, Rahul jokingly imagined Instagram itself deciding on Virat’s behalf, saying, “Main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon.”

Abhishek Malhan, however, wasn’t amused by the singer’s antics. During a casual chat caught on video, Abhishek was seen watching Rahul’s video and commenting openly. In his words, “First of all Rahul bhai, Virat Kohli doesn’t even know you exist. Even if he does, he doesn’t have time to block you on Instagram.” Abhishek didn’t stop there. He pointed out how Rahul had been constantly uploading videos on the issue, seeking attention rather than focusing on his music.

He went on to mention how Rahul made another video at the airport, complaining to the paparazzi about being blocked by Virat. Abhishek found this ridiculous and mocked the situation, saying if someone doesn’t like your face, what can you even do about it. He urged Rahul to return to doing what he’s good at, singing.

What disappointed Abhishek the most was the unnecessary poking. He said he once held a lot of respect for Rahul but advised against provoking people for no reason. Sharing his own experience, Abhishek mentioned how once a technical glitch on Instagram showed that even the Prime Minister had blocked him, but he didn’t make a spectacle of it. He stressed, “Virat Kohli ke paas itna time nahi hai ke woh tumhe dhundhega aur block karega.” According to Abhishek, these things are often just glitches, not deliberate actions.

Abhishek’s comments struck a chord with many who felt the issue was blown out of proportion. Abhishek made it clear that in the world of social media, not every glitch needs a public reaction. His words reflected what many netizens were already thinking but hadn’t said out loud.
