Sheena Bajaj is on the threshold of a life-changing chapter. The actress, known for her work in Vanshaj, is expecting her first child with husband Rohit Purohit. The couple, who announced their pregnancy on April 30, have been eagerly counting down the days to meet their little one. While their joy is undeniable, Sheena has chosen to address the side of pregnancy many don’t often speak about.
Sheena opened up about the struggles she’s been silently battling. Now in her seventh month, the journey has been far from easy. She shared how her pregnancy has come with difficult health challenges. “I’m almost in my seventh month now, and it’s not at all easy,” Sheena admitted, giving a glimpse into the often unseen side of motherhood.
This phase has demanded more from her than she expected. The actress revealed that she recently had to take seven injections in a single day. She explained that some were for managing her multivitamin levels, while others included painkillers to ease her body aches.
Sheena confessed that the effects of so many injections left her feeling perpetually nauseous and weak. Weekly hospital visits have become routine, with more injections waiting each time. She described it as a tough phase both physically and mentally. “My body has very low levels of multivitamins and haemoglobin, which is concerning because, in the seventh month, there’s always a risk of early delivery. I have been injected with so many things, and I constantly feel nauseous and pukish. I have to visit the hospital every week for more injections. It’s a tough journey,” she shared, her words reflecting the quiet exhaustion behind her smile.
Adding to her worries is the fact that the baby’s weight is currently below what doctors would like at this stage. Sheena admitted that this news has been weighing heavily on her heart. She’s trying her best to stay positive but confessed that it hasn’t been easy. “I’m quite stressed about that too. All I want is everyone’s prayers and blessings,” she said.
The actress emphasized that pregnancy isn’t just about glowing skin and perfect photographs, something that often dominates social media feeds. “I’m sharing this because I want to be real – pregnancy is not always glowing skin and pretty pictures. What you see on Instagram is very different from what really happens,” she pointed out, hoping to offer comfort to other expecting mothers who might be facing similar challenges.
Amidst the highs and lows of this phase, there’s also been joy. The couple recently moved into their new home in August 2024, a milestone that added warmth to their otherwise stressful months. They’ve lovingly named it ‘Aashiyana’, a place where they’ll soon welcome their baby.
Rohit Purohit, meanwhile, continues to balance his personal and professional life. He currently plays the lead role of Armaan Poddar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Despite their packed schedules and Sheena’s health concerns, the couple stands strong, embracing every emotion this journey throws their way.
