The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a suspect named Deepak from Faridkot, Punjab, in connection with the bomb blasts outside singer-rapper Badshah’s nightclub in Chandigarh in November 2024. According to official sources, Deepak was allegedly in close communication with Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, who had claimed responsibility for the attack via an alleged Facebook post.
On November 26, 2024, two crude bombs were detonated outside Sector-26 nightspots in Chandigarh — Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by Badshah, and De Orra Club, run by local businessmen. CCTV footage captured one of the assailants hurling a bomb before fleeing, shattering glass but causing no injuries.
Hours later, Goldy Brar, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, posted a message taking credit for the attack along with Rohit Godara, though the authenticity of the post remains unverified.
Earlier, on November 29, 2024, two suspects—Vinay and Ajit Sehrawat from Hisar—were arrested following an encounter in Haryana’s Hisar district during a joint operation by Chandigarh Police and the Haryana STF. Both were wounded in the legs before being taken for medical treatment.
The arrest of Deepak is considered a notable development in the ongoing investigation, potentially advancing efforts to dismantle the gang network believed to be behind the blasts.
