Now, the Haryana NCB Cyber Cell has made a major revelation:

Cyber Cell officer Amit Yadav issued a public warning, clarifying:
“Watching, downloading, or sharing this viral clip is a punishable offense.”
His video appeal is now being widely shared to curb misinformation.
How the Rumor Started — What Was Being Claimed?
Over the last few days, platforms like Instagram and X (Twitter) saw a sudden spike in shares of a supposed MMS. The clip included objectionable audio, leading users to wrongly “identify” innocent women.
Consequences quickly escalated:
- Several young women were misidentified
- Many faced abuse, trolling, and threats
- Social media users began speculating without evidence
- Influencers were dragged into the controversy
One Instagram creator, sweet_zannat, was wrongly linked to the clip. She posted a clarification video saying:
“Look at me carefully… now look at that girl. Do we look even remotely similar?”
AI-Generated — No Real Video Exists
According to Amit Yadav, the entire MMS is fabricated using AI technologies, making it a classic example of deepfake abuse.
He urged people to verify suspicious videos using online tools such as:
- siteengine.com
- Reverse search platforms
- Metadata analysis tools
“No such real video exists. This is a digitally created hoax,” he stressed.
Watching or Sharing the Video Is a Crime
The officer issued a strict legal warning, stating that anyone who:
- Watches
- Downloads
- Forwards
- Saves
- Shares
the clip can be prosecuted.
Applicable laws include:
- IPC Section 67
- IPC Section 67A
- Section 66 of the IT Act
Penalties may include:
✔ Up to ₹2 lakh fine
✔ Up to 3 years imprisonment
