Bollywood star Varun Dhawan recently made a heartfelt revelation about his daughter Lara and his pet dog Joey during his appearance on Prime Video’s chat show Too Much with Twinkle. The episode, which also featured Alia Bhatt, gave fans an inside look at how both actors have adapted to parenthood.

Varun candidly shared that for him, there is no difference between his daughter Lara and his dog Joey, as both hold an equally special place in his life.

Joey Changed Varun’s Life

Talking about his pet, Varun said, “When Joey came into my life, everything changed for me.” Twinkle Khanna jokingly asked whether his transformation was due to his child or his dog. Alia Bhatt also added that since Joey came first, he had already prepared Varun for fatherhood.

Lara and Joey Are Equals in Varun’s Heart

Varun explained that caring for Joey taught him how to be more responsible. “He would pee, poop… and I was at a stage where I could do anything for him. I’m not saying this to look cool on camera, but truly, I don’t differentiate between my dog and my child,” Varun revealed. He also admitted that the bond he shares with Joey is unlike anything he has experienced with another living being.

Varun and Natasha’s Love Story

The actor also spoke about his wife, Natasha Dalal, revealing that he fell in love with her the very first time he saw her at a school basketball ground. Over the years, their friendship blossomed into love, and eventually into marriage.
