Highlights
  • Param Sundari collects ₹5.03 crore on Day 1.
  • Film records only 10.64% occupancy despite wide release.
  • Weekend performance to decide its long-term success.

Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s much-awaited film Param Sundari has finally hit the theatres after weeks of buzz. The film, which was initially scheduled for release on July 25, got postponed due to the massive craze around Saiyara. While Saiyara continued to dominate, films like Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 and War 2 underperformed. Now, all eyes were on Sidharth and Janhvi’s chemistry in Param Sundari.

Day 1 Earnings Report

According to early trade estimates, Param Sundari managed to collect ₹5.03 crore on its opening day despite releasing across 4,908 screens in India. The overall first-day occupancy stood at just 10.64%, which is considered underwhelming given the film’s high promotional campaign. Reports by Sacnilk.com suggest that while the star power generated some curiosity, the box office numbers did not meet expectations.

Trade Analysts’ Predictions

Industry experts believe that although Param Sundari had a disappointing start, the film still holds a chance to perform better over the weekend. If word of mouth works in its favor, the collections could see a significant jump. However, if the film fails to capitalize on the weekend, it may face the same fate as other recently released underperforming films. The next two days will be crucial for the film’s box office journey.
