In the clip, Janhvi is seen breaking the traditional Dahi Handi and chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. However, this led to a wave of trolling on social media.
Actress Shares Full Video to Clarify
Responding to the controversy, Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram and shared the uncut video of the event. The video shows BJP MP Ram Kadam chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ first, after which Janhvi repeats it. She pointed out that trolls selectively cut the clip to create memes.
Janhvi’s Strong Statement
While sharing the video, Janhvi wrote:
“If I hadn’t repeated after him, people would still find a problem. Now that I said it, they cut the video into memes. Anyway, not just on Janmashtami, I will proudly say Bharat Mata Ki Jai every single day.”
Upcoming Film ‘Param Sundari’
On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her next release Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota. The film also stars Sidharth Malhotra and is set to hit theaters on 29th August 2025.
