Bollywood veteran Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been making headlines after reports claimed that Sunita had filed for divorce in December last year. The news left fans shocked, as the couple has been together for nearly four decades.

Now, Govinda’s lawyer Lalit Bindra has responded to the ongoing buzz, putting an end to the speculations.

Lawyer’s Statement on Divorce News

Speaking to NDTV, Bindra stated:

“There is no case, everything is being settled. People are just digging up old matters.”

This statement comes as a relief for Govinda’s fans, many of whom were concerned about the actor’s personal life. Reports further suggest that the family will be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi together, dismissing separation rumors.

Close Friend Denies Divorce Speculations

A close friend of Govinda, in a conversation with ETimes, rubbished the reports. The friend said:

“They have been together for 38 years. Like every couple, they too have ups and downs. Tell me, which couple doesn’t fight? Govinda will never leave Sunita.”

The friend further emphasized that Sunita is Govinda’s strongest support system, saying,

“Without Sunita, Govinda would be lost. She manages his mood, supports him, and keeps him grounded. Even if matters reach court, they will eventually reconcile as they always do.”

What Sparked the Reports?

The controversy began when it was reported that Sunita Ahuja had filed a divorce petition under the Hindu Marriage Act, citing “cruelty and betrayal.” However, the latest clarification from both the lawyer and close friends strongly suggests that the couple is not separating.
