Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has strongly reacted after a fake AI-generated video portraying him as Maharishi Valmiki went viral on social media. The actor clarified through a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the video was completely fabricated and urged both the public and media to remain cautious about such manipulated content.
Actor Calls Out AI Misuse
On Tuesday, Akshay Kumar took to social media to address the growing misuse of Artificial Intelligence in spreading misinformation. He criticized certain media outlets for circulating the fake clip without verifying facts, calling it a “serious concern.”
“I recently came across videos showing me as Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that these are completely fake and created using AI. Such misleading content must not be entertained,” Akshay wrote.
Akshay Warns Fans Against Sharing Fake Clips
The actor also cautioned his fans not to create or share AI-manipulated videos. He stressed that such content spreads quickly, misleads the public, and creates unnecessary confusion. Akshay specifically appealed to media houses to fact-check before reporting.

Despite this controversy, Akshay Kumar’s latest film Jolly LLB 3 is performing strongly at the box office. Within just four days of release, the film has collected nearly ₹60 crore. Made on a budget of around ₹120 crore, the movie continues to draw audiences in theaters across India.
