Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of Indian television’s most beloved daily soaps, is currently navigating its most intense phase yet. After a dramatic leap of seven years, life has taken complicated turns for its lead characters, Abhira and Armaan. Their once inseparable bond is now strained by secrets, guilt, and heartache, and the latest twists have kept fans glued to their screens.

Abhira, portrayed by Samridhii Shukla, has been carrying the burden of losing her baby girl. What she doesn’t know is that her daughter is alive and with Armaan. Rohit Purohit’s Armaan, meanwhile, lives with the crushing weight of hiding this truth from her. When the two finally cross paths after years apart, emotions run high. Armaan is devastated to see the struggles Abhira has endured.

Into this storm walks Anshuman, a new chapter in Abhira’s life. He falls for her, offering a chance at happiness she no longer believes she deserves. Dadisa, wanting to see Abhira settle again, pushes for their marriage. She even asks Armaan to stay away and allow Abhira to find peace. The biggest blow comes when both Geetanjali and Dadisa forbid Armaan from revealing Maira’s real identity to Abhira. Dadisa’s words leave him shattered. “I will take my own life if you tell Abhira the truth,” she warns. Left with no choice, Armaan stays silent.

As Abhira moves ahead with the wedding rituals, her heart remains unsettled. Though Anshuman has been endlessly patient, he senses her confusion. He gently tells her she’s free to back out if she’s unsure. However, Abhira’s resentment towards Armaan pushes her to say yes. The bitterness fuels her decisions more than affection ever could.

But the storm isn’t over. In a recent promo for the show, tensions reach a boiling point as Anshuman and Armaan engage in a physical fight over Abhira. The scene suggests that Anshuman’s patience is wearing thin and that the calm, understanding man might be reaching his breaking point.

Amid speculations about a possible negative turn for Anshuman’s character, actor Rahul Sharma addressed the buzz in a conversation with Telly Chakkar. When asked about the possibility of his character becoming antagonistic, he firmly stated, “The way Anshuman is written, I don’t think he’d turn negative.” Rahul shared that even if the writers decide to introduce a major twist, the entire team would sit together and carefully discuss how to shape Anshuman’s journey.

Interestingly, Rahul also pointed out how closely he relates to his onscreen persona. “I think the kind of nature that Anshuman has, Rahul also has the same nature and thought process. Only the amount of money that Anshuman has, Rahul don’t possess (laughs). Fun loving, emotional, down to earth kind of guy he is; so I relate to the character and thus I enjoy playing Anshuman in the show,” he shared.

With secrets on the verge of surfacing and relationships at stake, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is proving yet again why it remains one of the most gripping and emotionally charged serials on television.
