Reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, hosted by Rannvijay Singha, has taken 11 celebrity women from their five-star lives to the dusty lanes of Bamuliya village in Madhya Pradesh and let’s just say, the transition hasn’t exactly been seamless.
The show features a spicy mix of known faces like Anita Hassanandani, Aishwarya Khare, Anjuum Faakih, Krishna Shroff, Dolly Javed, Erica Packard, Rameet Sandhu, Reha Sukheja, Sumukhi Suresh, and the ever-entertaining twins Samriddhi and Surabhi Mehra. From latte to lauki, these divas are learning to swap their salon appointments for sabzi-shopping, and it’s already proving to be reality TV gold.
Emotional Connections
The latest episode put the spotlight on Krishna Shroff, who, while being all smiles during the welcome rituals, was secretly battling a not-so-glamorous upset stomach. While others were adjusting to the cow-dung floors and chilly baths, Krishna was struggling to keep her digestive system from revolting.
Unfortunately, her illness wasn’t obvious to the sweet village aunty she was staying with, who thought Krishna was skipping meals because of something she did. When Krishna declined a plate of homemade bhujiya sev, lovingly offered alongside the ever-enthusiastic Sumukhi and Samriddhi, the aunty’s heart sank. And she burst into tears.
What followed was a heartwarming and a little heartbreaking moment as Krishna rushed to comfort her host. “Arey aunty, aap ro mat. I am very happy to be here,” she reassured, wiping away the tears. Later, she explained, “I have a very strict routine, and if I can’t stick to it, mera dimaag bohot kharab hota hai. I felt very bad that she cried for me.”
For someone known for her fierce fitness regime, being unable to eat or perform daily chores wasn’t just frustrating, it was an emotional jolt.
Let’s be real, no amount of yoga, protein shakes, or luxury detox cleanses prepare you for the realness of rural India. Krishna, who’s more used to boxing rings and brand endorsements, found herself emotionally tangled in the love and expectations of a humble villager.
The aunty’s reaction heartbreak over uneaten sev was a reminder that in Bamuliya, food isn’t just food. It’s love, pride, tradition, and sometimes the only way to say “we care.” For the villagers, sharing a meal is sacred. So when a celeb doesn’t eat, it hits hard.
Anita Hassnandani is also seen asking a man how the mother of his child died. Samriddhi also shared how her orthodox family forcefully sent her sister out of the house because they were both girl-child and even she didn’t knew that she has a sister.
And that’s the soul of Chhoriyan Chali Gaon, it’s not just a reality show, it’s a culture shock wrapped in emotional chaos.
Thankfully, Krishna is now on the mend. Her stomach’s calmed down, and her spirits are back up. Expect to see her getting her hands dirty, literally in upcoming episodes.
And if this emotional rollercoaster is any indication, there’s a lot more drama, bonding, and unexpected life lessons coming our way.
