Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar have always shared their personal moments with their fans through vlogs and social media. Recently, the couple faced one of the most difficult phases of their lives when Shoaib revealed that Dipika had been diagnosed with a tumor in her left liver, roughly the size of a tennis ball. This news left their followers shocked and concerned.
Soon after the announcement, Shoaib shared how they visited Kokilaben Hospital for further tests. The couple returned home after the checkups, but things took a turn for the worse. Dipika, who had recently started weaning their baby boy Ruhaan, experienced intense pain. This discomfort escalated to a high fever. Shoaib explained that as Dipika stopped breastfeeding, she suffered immense pain, which eventually caused a high fever. Her condition deteriorated rapidly.
He recalled that after seeing the surgeon on May 16, Dipika developed a fever later that evening. The situation worsened on May 17, when her temperature touched 103.9 degrees and refused to come down. Despite medication, the fever subsided briefly early morning, only to return within hours. Shoaib mentioned how painful it was to watch her struggle through the night, battling pain and high fever.
Unable to see her in that state, the family decided to admit Dipika to Kokilaben Hospital. In his latest vlog, Shoaib gave another update about her condition. He shared that Dipika had been hospitalized because of the persistent fever and chest congestion. Shoaib confirmed that the surgery hadn’t been performed yet, and they were waiting for her to stabilize before moving ahead with the procedure.
The actor mentioned that Dipika’s fever finally subsided, offering them a small sense of relief. However, due to the prolonged fever and weakness, some important tests remained pending. On May 21, Dipika underwent a crucial PET scan. Shoaib said they were now waiting for the report, which would help doctors determine the next step for her treatment.
Shoaib expressed his worries, saying that the tumor had to be removed and surgery was unavoidable. He added, “Tumor toh hai. Usko toh nikalna hai. Surgery karna hai, mandatory hai. Bas ab wait kar rahe hai ki aaj ki PET scan ki report aa jaaye. Iska congestion joh hai chest mai voh khatam ho, nose joh block hai voh khatam ho uske baad hi voh surgery plan kar sakte.”
Doctors hinted that the operation might be possible next week, but no confirmation was given yet. Meanwhile, Shoaib also opened up about their little son, Ruhaan, and how he was coping with these sudden changes. Dipika had to stop breastfeeding due to her health, which upset Ruhaan initially. The child cried for a day, missing the comfort he was used to. Shoaib shared that although Ruhaan still asks for milk at times, he seems to sense his mother’s condition and has adjusted better now.
Through it all, Shoaib thanked their fans and well-wishers for their endless prayers and support. He expressed how these heartfelt messages gave them strength during this tough time.
