Shilpa Shirodkar, known for her genuine nature, made a strong impression on Bigg Boss 18. Her candid moments and honest approach stood out. She built strong friendships inside the house, especially with Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena. However, her tension with Rajat Dalal also grabbed attention. In a recent chat, Shilpa reflected on her time in the house and her current connections.
Shilpa has been a fan of Bigg Boss for years. She shared that she never imagined she’d be part of it. When the opportunity came, it just worked out naturally. In her words, “It just fell in place.” She admitted that the experience of living inside the Bigg Boss house was completely different from watching it on TV. Reality felt far more intense than what the audience usually sees.
During the show, she formed a warm bond with Karan and Vivian. But now, her friendships have shifted. Shilpa revealed she stays in touch with Karan Veer Mehra, along with Chum Darang and Digvijay. Her connection with Vivian, however, didn’t continue after the show. She said, “I am more in touch with Karan, not in touch with Vivian at all. I met him last on Laughter Chefs. Karan, Chum and Digvijay, I am very much in touch.”
While she met Vivian again during another show, Laughter Chefs, she mentioned they were cordial. There was no personal issue between them. Their interaction was polite, and she maintained respect. Shilpa clarified that she never had any tension with Vivian, and when they met again, everything was smooth.
Speaking about Rajat Dalal, she shared her views openly. She doesn’t communicate with him anymore. Not because of a conflict, but simply because there is no need. According to her, staying in touch with everyone isn’t necessary. She explained that when she does see Rajat, she will remain civil. There is no plan to reach out, and she holds no bitterness.
Her thoughts about people and relationships are grounded in clarity. She believes that some connections are meant to happen, while others aren’t. “And people you don’t meet, probably you were never supposed to meet,” she said. She added that people who talk behind your back often don’t understand you. Their opinions don’t affect her life in any way. “For me, they don’t make any difference. My life is not going to change with their existence or non-existence. It is going to be how it is.”
Reflecting on why her bond with Rajat never grew, she explained that they were simply not alike. Shilpa felt Rajat didn’t try to be friends with her. She believed he hesitated to form a connection because of their age gap. She said that most of the time, friendship didn’t bloom in the house because he likely thought, “how to be friends with a 51-year-old.” Despite that, Shilpa found meaningful friendships with others in the house.
She was also asked if Karan Veer Mehra and Chum Darang should explore a deeper relationship. Her reply was supportive and thoughtful. She said, “I think they are adult individuals and they know best what is meant for them. They are fine.”
Her Bigg Boss experience, friendships, and reflections all come together to show a woman who has found her peace and speaks her truth without filter.
