Sambhavna Seth, a familiar face in the world of Indian television, is known for her vibrant personality and bold presence. Many remember her for her stint in Bigg Boss Season 2, where she won hearts with her outspoken nature. But behind the fame and smiles lies a story of personal heartbreak and silent battles. Recently, Sambhavna opened up like never before during a conversation with Gauahar Khan on her podcast. For the first time, she spoke in detail about her devastating miscarriage and the painful journey that surrounded it.

The actress began by recalling the deep losses she faced over the years. She spoke about losing her father, a man she was incredibly close to, and how it shattered a part of her. She then mentioned her mother’s prolonged illness. For five years, her mother remained bedridden before passing away. The weight of these personal losses already left her struggling emotionally.

Opening up about her struggle with IVF, Sambhavna shared how the process took a heavy toll on her both physically and emotionally. She revealed, “Mere IVFs fail hote gaye. Muje abb yaad bhi nahi aa rha ki kitne IVFs karaye 6 karaye ya 7 karaye. Voh fail hote gaye.” She expressed how people often treat IVF casually, as if it’s just about taking injections, but very few truly understand the silent pain and heartbreak involved when it doesn’t work.

In between her IVF battles, Sambhavna faced another personal blow when she lost her 19-year-old pet. It was yet another emotional wound added to her already fragile state. But things seemed to brighten up for a brief moment when she finally conceived. She described the joy she felt upon learning about her pregnancy, already planning how she’d share the news with her fans. A photoshoot had been planned, and excitement filled her days as she waited to cross the first trimester.

She revealed, “Mere 2-3 scans ho gaye the kyuki beech mei bleeding bhi kaafi baar ho gayi thi. But jab bhi scans hue voh sab bohot acha aaya.” With every scan that went well, hope grew stronger.

However, things took a turn two weeks before the tragic news. Sambhavna started feeling unwell and sensed that something wasn’t right. Sambhavna remembered, “I was telling the doctor. Doctors said it’s your arthritis problem. But my arthritis doctor told me, ‘No, Sambhavna. It’s not arthritis. It’s a sign of miscarriage.’”

She confessed how she repeatedly asked her doctor for a pre-genetic test of the embryo, fearing complications. But she was reassured each time that everything looked fine and the embryo’s quality didn’t warrant such a test. She admitted how patients often trust their doctors blindly, saying, “Aap doctor ki baato mai aa jaate ho.”

Later, after undergoing a pre-genetic test on her own, Sambhavna discovered heartbreaking news. The embryo was abnormal. She revealed, “Voh joh grow ho rha tha, voh neck se rukh gaya. Uski neck se growth rukh gayi. Heartbeat rukh gayi 15 din pehle, and it was inside me.” The baby’s heartbeat had stopped days before, and she was unknowingly carrying that loss within her.

After the miscarriage, she went back to her doctor, hoping for answers. Instead, she was told it was an unfortunate incident. The doctor pointed to her anxiety and arthritis instead of acknowledging the oversight.

Through this painful confession, Sambhavna wanted to raise awareness about the importance of speaking up, asking questions, and not ignoring the signs your body gives you. This was the first time she openly shared her experience, hoping it would help other women feel seen, heard, and careful in their own journeys.
