Rishabh Auditioned for Armaan, But Life Had Other Plans
Before Rohit Purohit stepped into the role of Armaan, and even before Shehzada Dhami played the part, Rishabh Jaiswal had tried out for the character. However, the show’s creator, Rajan Shahi, had a different vision. Rishabh shared, “Mene YRKKH ke Armaan ke role ke liye audition kiya tha, but eventually Rajan Sir chahte the main Krish play karu because I was not that mature then.”
Rather than seeing this as a missed opportunity, Rishabh embraced the chance to play Krish, a role that has now made him a household name.
He acknowledged how fortunate he feels for being part of a show like YRKKH. “So ye bohat achi opportunity thi jo mujhe di gayi, and I think I’ll always be grateful for Rajan Sir and DKP production for that.”
Rishabh believes that one opportunity is all it takes to transform an actor’s career. According to him, every artist waits for that one reality show, one breakthrough role, or one big film that rewrites their destiny. He sees his role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as exactly that.
Today, viewers recognize him as Krish, and for Rishabh, that’s a major achievement. He feels the character has allowed him to explore deeper emotions and build a genuine connection with the audience.
While many actors juggle multiple offers and shift between sets, Rishabh Jaiswal is fully committed to YRKKH. He revealed that the team shoots nearly 25 days a month, which leaves little to no room for other projects. Still, he chooses this show every single day.
He shared that several roles have come his way, including in reality shows and other fiction series, but he continues to stay loyal to his current work. It’s a decision he doesn’t regret because, according to him, consistency and dedication go a long way.
