Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, best known for her role as Gopi Bahu in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, recently shared an emotional post celebrating a special moment with her son, Joy. As her little one turned seven months old, Devoleena marked the milestone by posting a series of unseen, heartwarming photos on social media. While many fans flooded the comments with love and admiration, a section of users crossed the line with derogatory remarks about her son’s skin tone.

Not one to stay silent, the actress swiftly clapped back at the hate, calling out the trolls by name and defending her son with fierce grace and clarity.

A Mother’s Heartfelt Note

Devoleena poured her heart out in a touching caption alongside the pictures. She described how motherhood had transformed her life, saying,
“7 months of holding my heart outside my body… From those tiny fingers wrapping around mine to sleepless nights filled with snuggles, every moment has been pure magic.”

She expressed gratitude for every giggle and cuddle, calling her son her greatest blessing. “You, my little love, are my greatest journey,” she remarked.

The post resonated deeply with fellow mothers and admirers, many of whom shared emotional responses and applauded her for embracing motherhood so wholeheartedly.

Online Hate and Colour Shaming

However, the joyful post didn’t sit well with everyone. Among the outpouring of love, some users made distasteful remarks about the child’s skin tone, attempting to overshadow the tender celebration.

Devoleena responded without hesitation. She shared screenshots of the trolls’ profiles and exposed their hypocrisy. One of the trolls claimed to be a musician and dog enthusiast. Devoleena wrote, “Ye hai so-called musician. And yaa doggo enthusiast. Bhagwan inse jude sabhi musicians ka bhala karein and dogs salamat rahein.”
She further called out their cowardice for hiding behind anonymous usernames while spewing hate on public platforms.

Another individual, who claimed to be an engineer from Delhi, also faced Devoleena’s wrath. She wrote, “Itne paise kharch karke engineer banne ke baad bhi zindagi aur soch dono nahi sudhar paayi bechari.”
Her comments pointed at the alarming lack of empathy and the toxic mindset that still exists on social media.

Fans Applaud Her Courage

Devoleena’s fans quickly came to her defense. Many praised her for taking a bold stand against colour shaming, especially when it involves an innocent child. Her decision to publicly name and shame those responsible sent a strong message—that no one has the right to bully or body-shame a child, especially based on appearance.

Supporters flooded the post with messages like “More power to you” and “A real mother lioness!” cheering her for confronting negativity with strength and love.

Devoleena tied the knot with Shanawaz Shaikh in a quiet ceremony in 2022. The couple embraced parenthood in 2024 and have since been enjoying every moment of raising their son Joy. From shared laughs to sleepless nights, the actress has consistently shared glimpses of their parenting journey with honesty and warmth.

Her recent post not only celebrates her son’s milestone but also reflects her resilience in the face of unnecessary judgment. Instead of letting the hate overshadow the joy, she chose to highlight the love, call out hate with facts, and protect her child with a mother’s voice.
