Television star Divyanka Tripathi, known for her iconic roles in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, recently found herself at the center of online backlash. The reason? A light-hearted slip-up during her appearance on the reality show Laughter Chefs Season 2 where she mistakenly identified YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav as fellow contestant Samarth Jurel.

While the moment sparked laughter on set, the internet wasn’t as forgiving. A section of social media users began trolling Divyanka for the confusion. But the actress, with her signature poise and wit, decided not to stay silent.

What Actually Happened

During a fun episode of Laughter Chefs 2, Divyanka extended her hand to greet Elvish but addressed him as “Samarth.” The mix-up caused a roar of laughter among fellow cast members including Aly Goni and Krushna Abhishek. Realizing the goof, Divyanka quickly joked that the moment should be edited out or she’d face trolling from Elvish’s fans.

Unfortunately, as the clip circulated online, some viewers took the opportunity to hurl insults and unnecessary criticism toward the actress.

Divyanka’s Bold Response to the Hate

Not one to be shaken by negativity, Divyanka took to Instagram to address the trolls with grace and a touch of sass. In her story, she wrote:
“I want to thank genuine Elvish fans for being nice. True fans, first, keep their idol’s respect in mind. Double thanks to the trollers for increasing my engagement.”

She didn’t stop there. Responding to the abusive language thrown her way, she added:
“My inner systumm automatically bounces back your foul language to you and your family. Karma! Those being nice shall always be blessed…says my core divinity!”

With that, the actress turned a moment of ridicule into a powerful message about grace under pressure.
