Among the highlights was Shilpa Shirodkar’s camaraderie with fellow contestants Karan Veer Mehra and Vivian Dsena. While her bond with Karan Veer remains strong and intact beyond the show, her connection with Vivian seems to have quietly faded away. Recently, Shilpa opened up about this change during an interview, revealing that she no longer stays in touch with Vivian and, frankly, doesn’t miss him.
In a candid chat with Zoom, when asked if she misses the friendship she shared with Vivian, Shilpa didn’t hesitate to say, “I have not at all been ashamed or embarrassed by Vivian. He was the first friend I made in that house.” She reflected on their time in the Bigg Boss house, explaining how those initial days had been difficult for Vivian as he was simply being his true self, which might have been misunderstood by others.
Shilpa pointed out that many contestants found it hard to grasp Vivian’s style of talking and his mannerisms. However, she had seen a gentler and more genuine side of him during their stay on the show. Despite this, the actress confirmed that the two are currently not in contact. She did, however, mention the last time she saw Vivian was on the set of Laughter Chefs 2.
Delving deeper into their interactions, Shilpa acknowledged Vivian’s straightforwardness and emotional openness during Bigg Boss. She said, “he did what he did and said what he said,” which was probably the best approach for him since he was “just talking his heart out.” She added that both of them were simply being authentic versions of themselves. Shilpa shared a balanced view of their relationship’s status, explaining that “Rishte kabhi aage chale toh chale, nahi chale toh nahi chale”. She made it clear there was no ill will between them and that her best wishes are always with Vivian.
After the Bigg Boss 18 journey, Shilpa remains close to a small circle of friends she made inside the house. Among them are Chum Darang, Karan Veer Mehra, and Digvijay Rathee. This group frequently meets and shares moments together on social media, showing their enduring friendship beyond the camera’s eye.
