Ankit Gupta recently appeared as a guest on Farah Khan’s popular vlog. The actor, known for his calm persona, opened up about personal and professional chapters of his life. The conversation touched upon Bigg Boss 16, health struggles, and career decisions that shaped his recent years.

During their chat, Farah asked him about his relationship status while entering Bigg Boss. “Hum bade confuse the ki alone hai ki sath mein hai. That story was very confusing,” Farah remarked with a laugh.

Ankit, without hesitation, clarified, “Mai bilkul alone tha. I think pata nahi achi baat hai ya buri baat hai. Mere sath hai ki mai bohot clear rehta hu. Alone rehta hu toh bolta hu alone. Agar mai nahi alone hota hu toh bolta hu nahi hu.”

As the conversation continued, Ankit spoke about a recent health scare that left Farah concerned. He revealed he was hospitalized after experiencing both a gastric issue and a panic attack. Farah expressed shock on hearing this, saying she had no idea about it. Ankit shared that the episode forced him to take better care of his health. His doctors advised him to stop eating non-vegetarian food. Following medical advice, he is now on a strict routine. Ankit mentioned that as part of his recovery plan, he has to share photos of his meals to stay accountable.

Farah asked him what exactly happened during his panic attack. Ankit explained it began with breathlessness and rapid heartbeat. His blood pressure spiked dangerously, and for a moment, it felt like his breathing could stop. He described those few minutes as terrifying and something he hoped never to face again.

Another interesting part of the conversation was how Ankit ended up on Bigg Boss 16. He confessed that joining the show wasn’t his idea. “Mai Bigg Boss gaya nahi bheja gaya tha,” he said, making Farah laugh. The actor recalled that right after finishing his work on Udaariyaan, Sargun Mehta, the producer, called him. She informed him about the show wrapping up and offered him a new opportunity.

At that time, Ankit was told about a new show titled Junnoniyat. However, the show would take another 3-4 months to start. Sargun feared Ankit might sign another project during this gap. To keep him occupied, she suggested a few reality shows. The options included Khatron Ke Khiladi, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and Bigg Boss. Since Khatron Ke Khiladi had already started, and Jhalak didn’t work out, Bigg Boss remained.

Ankit recalled having a meeting about the show, followed by negotiations that lasted almost a month. He mentioned it wasn’t a quick decision as the discussions and contract talks took about three to four weeks before everything was finalized.

Sharing more about his career, Ankit added that when he was approached for Junnoniyat, he didn’t have much information apart from the title. The project was still a few months away from going on floors.

The conversation between Farah and Ankit was candid, warm, and gave fans a closer look at the actor’s struggles and decisions.
