The much-awaited biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, titled Maa Vande, has officially been announced on the occasion of his 75th birthday. The film will depict Modi’s inspiring journey from his early years to becoming the nation’s leader. South Indian actor Unni Mukundan has been chosen for the lead role, marking a new chapter in his career after his blockbuster hit Marco.
Film Details: ‘Maa Vande’
Directed by Kranti Kumar CH and produced by Veer Reddy M., the film promises high-end VFX and will release across India in multiple languages, including English. Renowned cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar, known for Baahubali and Eega, will handle the camera, while National Award-winner Sreekar Prasad will edit the film. The action sequences will be choreographed by King Solomon, and the music will be composed by Ravi Basrur, who earlier gave powerful scores in KGF and Salaar.
Storyline of the Biopic
Maa Vande will not only showcase Modi’s political rise but also shed light on his deep bond with his mother, Heeraben Modi. The film aims to portray his extraordinary life, perseverance, and vision for India.
Unni Mukundan’s Journey
Born on September 22, 1987, in Kerala, Unni Mukundan pursued English Literature and later studied Journalism before stepping into cinema. He made his acting debut in 2011 with a Tamil film alongside superstar Dhanush, later establishing himself in Malayalam cinema. His last film, Marco, turned into a global success, grossing over ₹100 crore worldwide. He will soon be seen in Mindiyum Paranjum.
Previous Biopics on PM Modi
This isn’t the first cinematic portrayal of PM Modi. Earlier, actor Vivek Oberoi played the Prime Minister in another biopic. However, Maa Vande is expected to be a grand-scale project that highlights Modi’s inspirational journey with a fresh perspective.
