Two months after the tragic Ahmedabad Plane Crash involving Air India Flight 171, memories of the incident are still fresh in people’s minds. While survivors and families are yet to recover from the trauma, a recent music video on the crash has stirred a storm on social media. The video was created by Prashant Rai, an actor, producer, and AI data science engineer, who is now facing massive online trolling.
Prashant Rai, originally from Jharkhand, currently resides in the United States. On Instagram, where he has 15.3K followers, Rai describes himself as an AI engineer working on Wall Street. His social media handle features several posts related to his latest music project.
What is the Music Video About?
The controversial track is titled “Pyaar Da Rang”, a sad song featuring glimpses of the Ahmedabad plane crash visuals. According to Rai, the video was produced under his banner, New York Picture, with the help of AI technology.
While the video has received attention for its unique concept, it has also drawn criticism for being insensitive towards the victims and their families. Many netizens believe the timing of the release has “reopened wounds.”
When Will the Song Release?
The full version of “Pyaar Da Rang” is scheduled for release on August 23, 2025. Currently, only the teaser is available online.
Interestingly, this isn’t Rai’s first controversial creation. In the past, he produced a video inspired by the Pahalgam terror attack, titled Operation Sindoor. The backlash then was significant, and with his new project, history seems to be repeating itself.
