  • May mark Pawan Kalyan’s last film, raising massive hype among fans.

Power star Pawan Kalyan returns to the big screen with his most awaited film They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth, released on September 25, 2025. The action-drama has already created a storm at the box office with record-breaking advance bookings, indicating a massive first-day collection.

Historic Advance Booking Numbers

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, OG has collected over ₹65 crore in India and ₹33 crore overseas, crossing the ₹98 crore mark in advance sales. With the film’s budget pegged at ₹250 crore, analysts predict that OG will recover nearly 60% of its cost on day one itself, touching around ₹150 crore. This already surpasses Pawan Kalyan’s previous best Hari Hara Veera Mallu (₹67 crore opening).

Will OG Overtake Pathaan and Animal?

Trade experts expect OG to collect between ₹130–₹150 crore on day one, potentially surpassing blockbusters like Pathaan (₹104 cr), Animal (₹114 cr), Saaho (₹126 cr), and even Jawan (₹129 cr). If the momentum continues, it could challenge Leo (₹142 cr) and Kalki (₹151 cr), making it one of the biggest openers in Indian cinema history.

Is This Pawan Kalyan’s Last Film?

Adding to the excitement, speculation is rife that OG might be Pawan Kalyan’s final film as he actively pursues politics after becoming Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh. This has intensified fan frenzy, making the film even more special. While a Telangana High Court order on ticket price hikes may impact last-minute bookings, experts believe the overall collections won’t suffer significantly.

Cast, Plot, and Villain Debut

The film stars Priyanka Mohan opposite Pawan Kalyan, while Emraan Hashmi makes his Telugu debut as the menacing villain Omi Bhau. The story revolves around gangster Ojas Gambira (OG), who returns to Mumbai after a decade to settle scores with his enemies. With high-octane action, a star-studded cast, and massive buzz, OG is tipped to be Pawan Kalyan’s biggest blockbuster ever.
