One of 2024’s most-watched original TV series, Landman, is making a grand comeback with its much-awaited second season. Paramount+ officially announced that the series will debut on November 16, featuring Billy Bob Thornton reprising his role as West Texas’ oil fixer.
Created by Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman follows Tommy Norris, a petroleum landman and mid-level executive at a Texas oil company. Set during a massive oil boom, the story dives deep into volatile oilfield politics, tough negotiations, and dangerous criminal threats to both work and family.
Star-Studded Cast with New Additions
Thornton, who earned a Golden Globe nomination for Season 1, returns alongside Ali Larter as his ex-wife and Jacob Lofland and Michelle Randolph as his children, Cooper and Ainsley. New cast members include Sam Elliott, while Andy Garcia, Paulina Chavez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm also join the ensemble.
Filming in Familiar Texas Territory
The show, largely filmed in the Fort Worth area of Texas, brings Sheridan back to a setting he has used in other hit series like 1883, Yellowstone, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves. Season 2 continues to blend the gritty realism of the oil industry with the intensity of Sheridan’s signature storytelling.
