Just three months after the death of businessman Sunjay Kapur, his family has landed in a heated property battle. Sunjay, ex-husband of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, left behind an empire worth nearly ₹30,000 crore.
While Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, are demanding their rightful share, Sunjay’s third wife Priya Kapur (Priya Sachdeva) insists that the kids have already received ₹19 crore.
Children Deny Receiving Settlement
According to reports, Karisma Kapoor’s children recently submitted their response in the Delhi High Court, outrightly denying Priya Kapur’s claims. They argued that despite being direct heirs, they have no access to Sunjay’s company assets, which are currently controlled by Priya Kapur under the RK Family Trust.

Court’s Next Hearing on October 9
The court has directed Priya Kapur to submit a complete account of Sunjay Kapur’s movable and immovable properties. The next hearing is scheduled for October 9, 2025.
Representing Karisma Kapoor’s children, senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani argued that they were always told Sunjay left no will. However, later, a woman named Shraddha Suri claimed possession of a will—shockingly excluding Karisma’s kids from inheritance.
Priya Kapur’s Statement in Court
Priya Kapur’s counsel, Rajiv Nayar, told the High Court that just six days before the petition was filed, the children were already allotted ₹1,900 crore worth of property from the trust. He emphasized that Priya, as Sunjay’s widow, has legal standing, along with her six-year-old son, and assured the court that no detail is being hidden regarding the will.
