Punjabi music sensation Karan Aujla, known for chart-topping tracks like Jhanjar, Kya Baat Ae and Tauba Tauba, may be living abroad, but his heart still belongs to Punjab. In a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, the singer admitted that despite moving to Dubai with his family in 2023 for safety reasons, he never feels truly “at home” there.
“I was in Punjab last week, and I slept the most peaceful sleep of my life. No matter where I live, my heart beats only for Punjab,” said Aujla. He also shared his dream of settling back in his village one day, provided the circumstances improve.
Why Karan Aujla Needs Heavy Security
Addressing speculations around his security, Aujla made it clear that his protection is no showpiece—it’s a necessity. “I’ve faced real threats. I’ve seen bullets pass by my windows. People have actually lost their lives. This isn’t a joke. I want to live a happy life, and taking precautions is important for me,” he revealed.
The singer had earlier survived a violent attack in Surrey, Canada in 2019, and in a 2024 interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, he shared that his Canadian home had been fired upon multiple times. These life-threatening incidents forced him to move his family to Dubai for safety.
Music Career Unstoppable Despite Challenges
Even with looming threats, Aujla has continued to dominate the Punjabi music industry. On 22 August 2025, he released his much-awaited album P-Pop Culture, featuring 10–11 tracks produced by long-time collaborator Ikky.
The album was officially announced on 26 July 2025 during his sold-out arena show in Montreal, where he surprised fans with electrifying visuals, a custom statue, and a “P-Pop Culture” necklace reveal on stage.
