The Air India Boeing Dreamliner 787 was carrying 242 passengers when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Following the tragic crash, emergency response teams, including NDRF and local authorities, launched a massive rescue and relief operation. The wreckage of the aircraft was found near densely populated Meghani Nagar. Initial reports suggest that the aircraft lost control minutes after takeoff from Runway 23.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash, while authorities continue to recover bodies and search for survivors. The airport has temporarily suspended other flights to facilitate emergency operations.
