Veteran Bollywood icon Dharmendra, aged 89, has been under medical supervision at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for over a week. His wife, actress and politician Hema Malini, took to social media to share a heartfelt update about his condition.
Hema Malini wrote on Instagram, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him. I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”
Family Rallies Around Dharmendra
Hema Malini was seen arriving at the hospital on Monday evening to visit her husband. Soon after, their sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were also spotted at the hospital, showing the family’s strong support during this critical time.
According to hospital sources, Dharmendra’s condition is stable but he remains under close observation. The actor’s team released an official statement saying, “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further updates will be shared as available. We request everyone to respect the family’s privacy.”
Dharmendra’s Upcoming Film and Health Journey
Earlier this year, Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery in April. Despite his health challenges, the veteran star continues to stay active in cinema.
He was last seen in “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. His next film, “Ikkis,” directed by Sriram Raghavan, will also mark Agastya Nanda’s debut and is slated for release on December 25, 2025.
