Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s family faced a terrifying incident on Friday night after several gunshots were fired outside their residence in Civil Lines, Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh). Fortunately, no one was injured in the attack.
The incident took place in the early hours when Disha’s parents and sister, Khushboo Patani, were present at home. Soon after, a social media post allegedly from gangster Rohit Godara, linked to Goldy Brar’s network, claimed responsibility for the firing.
Attack Linked to “Disrespect of Religious Saints”
In a viral social media post, the gang claimed that the firing was carried out as a reaction to the alleged disrespect of Sant Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.
The post, signed by individuals identified as Virendra Charan and Mahendra Saran, explicitly stated:
“The firing at Disha Patani’s house was just a trailer. Anyone insulting our religion or saints will face deadly consequences.”
The message further warned Bollywood celebrities that similar actions could follow if they continue to “disrespect” Sanatan Dharma.
Security Tightened Around Patani Residence
Following the incident, Bareilly police and forensic teams immediately reached the spot. Several empty cartridges were recovered from outside the villa. The SSP confirmed that the investigation has been handed over to the Crime Branch, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being reviewed.
Authorities have also issued an alert regarding gangster Goldy Brar’s network, which has previously been linked to high-profile threats and attacks.
