Bigg Boss 19, one of India’s most popular reality shows hosted by Salman Khan, is set to premiere on August 24, 2025. With the promo already out, excitement among fans is at an all-time high. The makers are approaching multiple celebrities for this year’s edition, which is expected to be the longest-running season with both new and returning contestants.
However, amid the buzz, fraudulent activities linked to the show have started surfacing, with unsuspecting victims losing lakhs to conmen posing as show recruiters.
The Shocking Bhopal Scam Case
A major case of fraud has been reported from Bhopal, where renowned dermatologist and owner of Poison Skin Clinic, Dr. Abhinit Gupta, allegedly fell victim to a scam involving Bigg Boss 19.
According to police reports, a man named Karan Singh contacted Dr. Gupta in 2022, posing as an event director with connections to top production houses. Singh claimed he could secure a “wildcard backdoor entry” for the doctor into Bigg Boss 19 through his contacts.
Enticed by the opportunity to appear on India’s most-watched reality show, Dr. Gupta reportedly transferred ₹10 lakh. But when the official contestant list was announced, his name was missing. Realizing he had been duped, Dr. Gupta lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police.
