According to media reports, the complainant alleged that Ashish Kapoor sexually assaulted her inside a washroom during a house party in Civil Lines, Delhi. She claimed that she first met the actor through social media, after which she was invited to the party at a friend’s residence.

DCP (North) Raja Banthia confirmed the arrest, stating that Kapoor was taken into custody from Pune on Wednesday. He further revealed that on August 11, an FIR was registered against Kapoor, his friend, his friend’s wife, and two others. Later, on August 21, the friend and his wife were granted bail as the complainant did not name them directly.
CCTV footage and witness statements reportedly placed Ashish Kapoor and the complainant inside the washroom, supporting parts of her claim. The investigation remains ongoing.
