Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to sell her Los Angeles home and move overseas with her six children.
According to People magazine, Jolie never intended to stay in Los Angeles permanently but was bound by custody arrangements with her ex-husband Brad Pitt. The report suggests that Jolie could relocate once her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year.
A source close to the actress said, “Jolie never wanted to live in L.A. full-time. She didn’t have a choice because of the custody arrangement with Brad Pitt. She’s now eyeing several locations abroad and will be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles.”
Jolie on Family, Privacy, and Divorce
In a past interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jolie opened up about her struggles raising children in the public eye while dealing with her divorce.
“When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here,” she said.
Jolie and Pitt finalized their divorce in December last year after more than eight years of legal battles. Her lawyers stated that the actress has been focused on ensuring peace and healing for her family since leaving Pitt’s properties.
The former couple share six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne.
Upcoming Project: ‘The Initiative’
On the work front, Angelina Jolie is set to collaborate once again with her Mr. and Mrs. Smith director Doug Liman for a spy thriller titled “The Initiative.” While details of the film’s plot remain under wraps, the project has already generated significant buzz.
