The popular crime-thriller Dahaad is officially returning with a sequel, and Sonakshi Sinha is once again stepping into the shoes of a tough police officer. Directed by Reema Kagti, the series will explore another gripping chapter of crime and society in India. After wrapping up her previous project, the filmmaker immediately began writing the new season of Dahaad.
For those unaware, Sonakshi made her digital debut in 2023 with Dahaad, where she played Sub-Inspector Anjali Bhati. The show, featuring Vijay Varma as the antagonist, became one of the most talked-about web series of the year and ended on a cliffhanger that promised a continuation.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Sonakshi will return as SI Anjali Bhati, while casting for other pivotal characters is still underway. Similar to the first season, the makers are searching for a powerful actor to play the villain in Dahaad 2. Currently, the series is in its pre-production stage, and more casting announcements are expected in the coming months.
