Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, shared his candid views on marriage, love, and relationships. Speaking about their journey, he admitted that love often fades within the first couple of years of marriage, but maturity and responsibility keep the bond alive.

Love Doesn’t Last Without Maturity

In a conversation with Filmy Gyaan, Raj Kundra revealed that a relationship cannot be forced. “If love exists, it stays naturally. You don’t have to hold on tightly. Shilpa and I have been each other’s strength for the past 15 years. We’ve faced many ups and downs but always stood strong together,” he said.

Marriage Is the Hardest Job

Raj described marriage as the most challenging commitment. “The honeymoon phase doesn’t last forever. After one or two years, responsibilities take over — kids, family, work. That cute ‘puppy love’ fades. That’s when couples need to be realistic and keep their relationship strong with maturity,” he explained.

Keeping Romance Alive with Shilpa

The entrepreneur revealed the couple’s special rule to maintain their bond: Friday date nights. “Every Friday, Shilpa and I go on a date, just the two of us. Our kids ask where we are going, and we tell them it’s mom’s time. Indian parents often give all priority to kids, but one day the kids grow up and move on. Couples must nurture their bond too,” Raj added.
