Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been in the spotlight recently over her demand for an 8-hour work shift on film sets. Amidst this buzz, rumors started circulating about her fallout with filmmaker Farah Khan, as both unfollowed each other on Instagram. Adding fuel to the gossip, Farah even made a sarcastic remark about 8-hour shifts in one of her vlogs.
Finally, Farah Khan has broken her silence on the matter, clearing the air about her relationship with Deepika.
The Truth Behind Unfollowing Each Other
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Farah revealed that there was no recent fallout between them. She clarified that she and Deepika were never following each other on Instagram in the first place. The duo had decided long back during the shooting of Happy New Year to stay connected through direct calls and messages instead of social media.
Farah also added, “We don’t even wish each other on Instagram birthdays, because Deepika doesn’t like it that way.”
Farah Clarifies Her 8-Hour Shift Remark
Addressing the controversy around her vlog, Farah explained that her comment about 8-hour work shifts wasn’t aimed at Deepika. Instead, it was a lighthearted joke directed at her friend Dilip, who works only 2 hours a day. She emphasized that the statement had nothing to do with the ongoing debate around Deepika’s demand.
Farah and Deepika’s Bond in Bollywood
For the uninitiated, Farah Khan launched Deepika Padukone in Bollywood with the blockbuster hit Om Shanti Om in 2007. Later, they reunited for Happy New Year, which also turned out to be a major box office success. Despite social media speculations, their professional bond and mutual respect remain strong.
