We talked to Harsh Chaklasiya of aspirebit about focusing on eCommerce through blogging and here is what he said about it.
First of all, how are you and your family doing in these COVID-19 times?
Harsh Chaklasiya: My family and I are doing well and hoping to do well throughout the pandemic.
Tell us about you, your career, how you founded aspirebit.
Harsh Chaklasiya: Before aspirebit, in 2012 (during my hsc), I started YouTubing and making tech videos. I learned from that about blogging; thus, I started my own blog windowsbilly.com (Tech blog on windows error). Two years I figured out about affiliate marketing, and I started promoting Clickbank offers & jumbleberry offers via google ads and FB ads. Then I created an Amazon affiliate marketing blog which is called reviewbilly.com.
In 2016 (the final year of my graduation), I founded aspirebit technolab, and we started getting clients worldwide with our work.
We’ve developed 200+ games & 400+ apps on the play store. One of our application names, instrafitter, got 10m+ downloads on the play store.
How does Aspirebit innovate?
Harsh Chaklasiya: We have a strong team of 20 people offering customer development, designing, and branding. Finding new opportunities and grabbing them is our motive. We are currently focusing on the eCommerce business now.
How the coronavirus pandemic affects your business, and how are you coping?
Harsh Chaklasiya: During this pandemic, our development business is not affected much as we’ve adapted the concept of work from home and managing our clients from home. After lockdown during winters, our team engaged in a charity where we focused on the needy. We actually donated blankets to them. Our e-commerce business is affected because we’re selling items that don’t fall under the category of essential items. As of now, we’ve stopped selling because of RTO increasing day by day.
Did you have to make difficult choices, and what are the lessons learned?
Harsh Chaklasiya: Yes, definitely. We started with eCommerce in March 2020 to cope up with the situation. Initially, it was difficult, as the accounts that we were running ads were banned, but we still continued working on it. Now we have an eCommerce business and still made it a 6 figure business amidst this lockdown and pandemic.
What specific tools, software, and management skills are you using to navigate this crisis?
Harsh Chaklasiya: We are not using any kind of tools or software to navigate the crisis. We strongly rely on our team.
Who are your competitors? And how do you plan to stay in the game?
Harsh Chaklasiya: We have so many competitors because the market is saturated. So we’ve decided that we are doing an eCommerce business and keep changing our plans and giving good support to our clients.
Your final thoughts?
Harsh Chaklasiya: Be aware of the opportunities and grab them.
