Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, who is in the news these days for her upcoming film ‘Dhak Dhak‘, has told that during the shooting of this film, actress Fatima Sana Shaikh had epileptic seizures. Diya said that despite suffering from epilepsy, Fatima shot many difficult scenes of this film, seeing which Fatima even shed tears.
Talking about Fatima’s epileptic seizures in an interview to ‘News 18 Shosha’, Dia Mirza said, “Oxygen was less, roads were difficult and Fatima faced some such situations where she had epileptic seizures. . But within seconds she got up and did the most important scene of the film. I cried not because he is a brilliant artiste but because of his commitment as an artiste.”
Dia also told that she wants to tell the story of women in this film together with Ratna Pathak, Dia Mirza, Fatima and Sanjana Sanghi. Dia said, “In an industry that is so patriarchal, it is very difficult to get such a simple, honest, dignified and feminist story that is rooted in empathy. Just like the story, we were four strangers who came together to tell this story.”
Apart from this, Dia, who also learned to ride a bike for this film, told how difficult it was to shoot in the mountains in Jammu and Kashmir. Dia said, “On a normal day, as a bike rider, it is quite tough. Imagine traveling with and caring for a group of 200 people! We were getting all kinds of diseases because the oxygen levels went down after a certain point. There were many challenges. But we ate hot food and got everything we needed to be strong, comfortable and happy.”
